Welcome to the new Makhasa Private Game Lodge. We are nestled in an ancient and rare sand forest within the Mun-ya-wana Game Reserve, just three hours from Durban.

For our opening in October, we are offering a special of R2395 per person, per night which includes all game drives, meals and excludes drinks at the lodge. 

Luxuriate in the bush with six en-suite rooms crowning the central lodge area. Shaded wooden walkways link the suites together. Guests will be sure to have a memorable stay in our comfortably furnished safari accommodation, well-situated near a prime waterhole location.

The central lodge area has a dual-service bar, spacious deck, dining space and a boma.

Enjoy three wholesome meals a day prepared by our on-site chef. Guests can choose from two seasonal meal options crafted from locally sourced produce. If you have specific dietary requirements, please inform us upon your booking.

Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck, with a shaded view of the nearby watering hole. Guests can expect all sorts of wildlife visitors, including members of the Big 5, to make an appearance. Be sure to relax on the deck while joining the waterhole callers.
